This big head of mine
Gets ahead of itself sometimes
Crashes through doors
Breaks walls and shatters windows
To get inside
Leaving me
standing
In a pile of rubble
Waist high and three shoulders wide
While it laughs itself off
At the expression
on my face.
It’s so full of itself,
This fat head of mine,
It gets in its own way
until things come to a head
Then I pick it up from where it’s sitting
Put it outside
and go ahead with
arranging
my house anew
Until
it calls out
“Hey! How about we go trick or treating you and I!”
I went all out treating tonight. Was great fun to be so dressed up.
Coming out coming out, of my own big fat head too,
leaving it aside for once, doing what one really just wants,
to do, to do!
