Horses run amok
Their reins dragging untethered
Through where dragons fly
Hooves crushing thunder
Without the charioteer who
Navigates their course
Dragonfly’s dreaming
Of self-directing horses
Who’ll occupy fields
With no chariot drawn
The horses have no purpose
Dragonfly’s folly
The charioteer laughs
As horses jump the hurdles
He’s laid out as tests
Some fall and stumble
Some crash on, nostrils flared
Some sprout wings and fly
Horses graze in fields
The charioteer picks up reins
Steers Dragonfly on
Detach from outcome
Advises the charioteer
Picking up his flute
Dragonfly dances
While his wings beat in tune with
Krishna playing on
